Admission for MBBS students at Saidu Medical College Swat will be joint admission along with the other Public Sector Medical Colleges of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.Every year Entry Test is conducted by ETEA and a merit list is prepared at Khyber Medical College Peshawar. Interviews are held and students are selected according to their merit and choice for the Public Sector Medical Colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Open merit students will be admitted from the joint admission at KMC Peshawar on merit.
General Self Finance seats which are open to applicants of KPK Province including backward areas and FATA will also be selected from the admission at Khyber Medical College Peshawar, on merit but they have to pay Rs." mentioned in prospectus per year".
Foreign Self Finance Students are those who hold valid foreign nationality. The students should fulfill the admission criteria laid down by Higher Education Commission, Islamabad Govt. of Pakistan and the admission criteria of Public Sector Medical/Dental Colleges.
Students of Shangla, Buner and Kalam can also apply against Open Merit Seats. To be considered on open merit as well as quota seats, the candidates must apply against both categories through separate admission forms. However, it will be the choice of the candidateto avail open merit or Backward Area (Shangla, Buner and Kalam for Saidu Medical College Swat)
The candidates applying against FATA/Baluchistan Project seats shall apply directly to HEC on prescribed form. The HEC shall finalize the list of candidates to be admitted as per policy formulated for the project.
Cadidates seeking admission against AJK Seats should apply to Secretary Nomination Muzaffarabad and must have to appear in the Entrance Test conducted by Govt. of KPK.
The candidates seeking admission against Afghan National Seats shall submit their application to Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination, Govt. of Pakistan, Islamabad through Embassy of Pakistan in their own country or through Afghan Embassy in Pakistan.
Candidates applying against FATA Seats shall apply to the Chairman Joint Action Committee on prescribed forms as well as submit a photocopy of admission form along with attached documents in the FATA Secretariat, KPK Peshawar for verification of documents especially domicile.and must have to appear in the Entrace Test conducted by Govt of KPK.
